Peter J. Nowotarski, M.D.

Dr. Pete Nowotarski joined University Orthopedics in 1998 after completing a Fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at the Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. He currently serves as Director of The Trauma Group, a division of University Orthopedics, as well as Director of Orthopedic Trauma for the region’s Level One Trauma Center at Erlanger in Chattanooga.

He is an Associate Professor with the UT College of Medicine’s Orthopedic Residency program in Chattanooga, and lectures extensively throughout this country and abroad regarding the care and management of severe orthopedic injuries. Along with his fellow associates in The Trauma Group, Dr. Nowotarski, a Board-Certified orthopedist, sees post-operative trauma patients at the group’s office complex in the Erlanger Medical Center Mall, as well as patients referred to him by regional surgeons for the management of complex poly-trauma injuries.
